Recent Trends and Growth in E-Learning Recommender System: A Bibliometric Analysis

E-Learning is one of the most well-known and successful learning modalities around the world. In e-learning, recommender systems are used to manage learning materials effectively, and to improve the experience of learners. Meanwhile, recommendation systems are seen as a major concern in e-learning because learners are still unsure of how recommendation systems enhance the learning environment and promote learning. This paper aims to presents a deep analysis of the bibliometric approach recommender systems used for e-learning. A recommender system is carried out for different types of e-learning such as Content-Based (CB), Collaborative- Filtering (CF), and Hybrid recommender systems. This analysis highlights many issues including the significance of addressing recommender systems, particularly in educational networks. The significance of recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of recommender system in e-learning becomes essential to provide precise recommendations.
