In this bibliometrics review, we explore how quantum computing has impacted cybersecurity to help offer insights to researchers for future studies in this realm.We first briefly touch on the history of quantum computing and trace its theoretical and practical journey which includes advancements like Shor's and Grover's algorithms.We then dive into the challenges posed by quantum technologies to our current cybersecurity measures which include its effects on traditional cryptographic systems and so on.We also discuss the trends in publications, geographical authorship, and thematic focus of the existing literature.Lastly, we look at what is needed for future studies in this realm, where emphasis is placed on the need for innovative strategies to secure our cybersecurity systems in the quantum era and the importance of collaboration between researchers of different fields due to the vast application of quantum computing.
