This paper introduces a novel approach to real-time distance detection, employing the state-of-the-art YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm. Our system seamlessly integrates YOLO’s object recognition capabilities with distance estimation, providing a comprehensive solution for visually impaired individuals. The proposed system employs speech output to convey detected objects and their respective distances, enhancing accessibility and autonomy for users with visual impairments. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach in various scenarios, marking a significant advancement in assistive technology
