Rooftop Sharkfin antenna module in modern automobiles incorporates a variety of antennas. In this paper, we address the design, optimization and integration of antennas needed for Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) and satellite digital audio radio service (SDARS). A narrowband omnidirectional monopole that operates over the frequency band of 5.845-5.935GHz is designed for V2X applications. A patch antenna with Left Hand Circular (LHC) polarization operating over the frequency band 2.320-2.345GHz is designed for SDARS applications. Both antennas are designed and optimized to fit within the space and size constraints of a rooftop sharkfin antenna module while meeting the performance specifications such as gain and directionality of the antenna and coexistence with GNSS and cellular antennas.
