Polynomial Divisibility in Finite Fields, and Recurring Sequences

Odoardo Brugia, Piero Filipponi · The Fibonacci Quarterly · 1995

The theory of polynomials the coefficients of which belong to finite fields (e.g., see [4]) is a valid mathematical tool to face various problems arising in telecommunication engineering. For example, it plays a crucial role in the design of scramblers and descramblers, multilevel codecoders, linear shift-registers, etc., and in the analysis of their performances (e.g., see [1], [5]).
