Data privacy is becoming a more pressing issue due to the exponential growth in both the number of users and the size of their friend lists on online social networks (OSNs). An adversary may access a multitude of data via OSNs, and this is correlated with an increase in context-aware spam email campaigns. With millions of members on each online social network (OSN), fraudsters attempt to get access to these networks in order to exploit the personal data stored there. Recent findings have shown that online social networks (OSNs) are vulnerable to a diverse array of privacy and security risks. Online social networks are becoming targeted by hackers on a daily basis. This article provides a comprehensive examination of the security and privacy breaches that are currently happening on social networking platforms. Furthermore, both the user and the data stored in the OSN are susceptible to these attacks. The techniques used in this research effectively meet user security and privacy issues, aiding in the identification and prevention of such assaults. Our approach is specifically designed to effectively counter attacks using Same-Site Profile Cloning and Cross-Site Profile Cloning. To identify and classify various forms of cybercrime that specifically aim at online social networks, the researchers of this study meticulously examined existing literature on the subject.
