This chapter covers how the designer has to prepare, save, and take printouts of different figured graph simulations. The colour simulations are as follows: an edited figured graph as per the motif, applied with different colours; weave simulation—a figured weave graph filled with warp and weft weaves as per the fabric variety; and fabric simulation—a figured weave graph filled with actual interlacement of ends and picks seen on the face side of the cloth. Saving the digital figured weave graph in black and white for electronic jacquard weaving and electronic card punching is also explained. This chapter discusses the method of taking the graph printout from the digital weave graph for punching the cards using hand punching plates, a mechanical piano card punching machine, and an electronic automatic card punching machine. The usefulness of computer-aided figured graph designing (CAFGD) for the hand punching plates and also for long-row-wise punching, apart from short-row-wise punching using the piano card punching machine, is explained. It discusses the lacing of punched cards manually and also using the lacing machine. This chapter concludes by listing the advantages of CAFGD and the consolidated points that the figured graph designer should keep in mind while preparing the figured graph.
