Model Speech 028: Recognition of Distinguished Guest(s)
Roger Shelby · 2024
Ladies and gentlemen, before I begin this evening, it is my privilege to acknowledge our special guests, Professors Harriet B. Stowe and Lyman W. Beecher. We are honored to have these two Nobel laureates with us tonight. Their contributions to science—Dr. Stowe to molecular biology and Dr. Beecher to DNA research—are profound and represent the level of innovation, knowledge, and insight that, as a society and an industry, we rightly honor. Researchers like these set the benchmark for us all. It doesn’t matter that few of us will win a Nobel Prize; we are enriched, and our efforts are enhanced, by the example of our two distinguished guests. Please take a moment to welcome Dr. Harriet B. Stowe and Dr. Lyman W. Beecher to our program tonight.
