In today's digital era, teenagers are increasingly immersed in the expansive and interconnected realm of the internet. While this brings numerous advantages, it also underscores the importance of cybersecurity knowledge, particularly in the context of ethical hacking. Tailored specifically for teenagers, this article presents an accessible and educational overview of the fundamentals of ethical hacking in the field of cybersecurity. The article commences by offering a clear definition of hacking and delving into the distinctions between malicious hacking (black-hat hacking) and ethical hacking (white-hat hacking). The article also proposes a three-stage ethics model as a prerequisite before learning common hacking techniques such as phishing, social engineering, and malware, shedding light on how these tactics can compromise online and personal security. By being aware of the potential threats, teenagers can proactively safeguard themselves and their online presence. The article further emphasizes the significance of integrating effective cybersecurity practices into everyday life.
