Abstract: This chapter explores the development of scalable EdTech solutions designed to enhance literacy in low-income communities, addressing the unique challenges of affordability, accessibility, and cultural relevance. By leveraging mobile learning platforms, offline capabilities, and localized content, these solutions aim to bridge the digital divide and provide quality education in underserved areas. Case studies from Kenya, India, and Nigeria highlight the impact of mobile learning on literacy outcomes, while emerging technologies like AI and adaptive learning systems offer personalized, data-driven approaches to improving educational access. The chapter emphasizes the role of government, NGOs, and private sector partnerships in scaling these technologies and fostering sustainable educational ecosystems in rural and low-income regions.
