ODACE-MS: A Remote Cloud-Based Testing Automation Platform for Multi-Android Devices Certification

This work introduces ODACE-MS, an automation platform that enhances mobile device certification based on our previously developed platform. ODACE-MS is based on cloud technology and USB over IP for remote and simultaneous multi-device testing. Our new platform design includes a server hosting the backend and database, connected to a frontend that interfaces with devices either directly via USB or remotely through a USB over IP hub. Our study compares ODACE-MS with traditional systems, outlining its new architecture and methodology. This study highlights the potential of ODACE-MS’s benefits in reducing engineers’ engagement time by enabling simultaneous testing across multiple devices. Additionally, its flexibility allows engineers to execute tests without physically handling the devices.
