Blockchain (BC) technology offers a novel approach to managing clinical data while simultaneously safeguarding patient privacy when applied to the healthcare sector. While providing patients with greater safety over the security of their personal health information, this article explores the revolutionary potential of BC technology within the framework of securely storing and exchanging medical records. Medical records can be securely recorded, accessed, and shared among numerous healthcare providers thanks to BC technology's decentralized and immutable properties. This safeguards the data's integrity while enhancing care coordination. A patient-centric approach is fostered and privacy protections are strengthened by BC technology, which also empowers patients to control access to their health data and manage their consent. However, there are a few issues that need fixing before the healthcare industry can make full use of BC technology. Scalability, standardization, compliance with regulations, and technological infrastructure are all examples of such obstacles. Health record administration will be transformed and Medicare will become more competent and patient-centered as a result of continued research and collaborative efforts to promote the broad adoption and smooth integration of BC technology.
