Blockchain-based frameworks for Explainable AI

Ivan Izonin, Krishna Kant Singh, Akansha Singh · River Publishers eBooks · 2024

In this chapter, we look at how blockchain and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) interact with one another. An introduction to blockchain and its possible uses in AI systems is provided to start this chapter. The need of explainability and openness in AI decision-making is then discussed, along with the notion of XAI. This chapter delves into the topic of using blockchain as a basis for building trustworthy and transparent XAI systems. This chapter also discusses the difficulties of developing XAI systems based on the blockchain and offers suggestions for overcoming these difficulties. Insights into how blockchain might be used to increase the openness and interpretability of AI systems, hence boosting their overall performance and social acceptability, are provided in this chapter.
