The management of public transport systems faces significant challenges, particularly in ensuring secure and efficient ticketing processes. This paper presents a novel smart QR code-based authentication system designed to address these challenges. The proposed system utilizes dynamically generated QR codes to ensure unique and secure ticket verification, supported by a robust cloud-based infrastructure via Firebase for real-time data management. This study details the proposed system architecture, describing the role of $Q R$ codes, and discuss how Firebase enhances data storage and retrieval processes. Additionally, we highlight the system’s flexibility in adapting to various transport environments, the optimization techniques employed to improve performance, and the research gap addressed by our work. Through comprehensive experiments and analysis, the proposed solution demonstrates significant improvements in security and operational efficiency, providing a substantial advancement in public transport management.
