Empowering Connections: Trailblazing Technologies in Telecom Communication Infrastructure

P Ashok, Giri Gundu Hallur · 2024

Data centers are centralized facilities that house computing and networking equipment used for the storage, processing, and distribution of large quantities of data. These systems have duplicate power supply, cooling mechanisms, and security features to guarantee continuous functioning. These facilities have a crucial function in providing support for diverse digital services and applications across different sectors. VSAT systems employ satellite communication to transmit and receive data. These systems utilize compact parabolic antennas to establish contact with geostationary satellites, enabling high-speed internet access, phone communication, and data transmission in isolated regions. A Radio Access Network (RAN) is an essential element of a mobile telecommunications system that links user devices to the core network. The system comprises of base stations, antennas, and additional equipment that enable wireless communication. RAN, or Radio Access Network, is responsible for overseeing radio signals to ensure uninterrupted connectivity, effective utilization of spectrum and optimal transmission of data between mobile devices and the network. LPWANs are wireless communication networks specifically built for transmitting little data packets over great distances while consuming minimal power. LPWANs, like as LoRaWAN and Sigfox, make it possible to link IoT devices, smart meters, and environmental sensors in a cost-effective and energy-efficient manner. This technology extends the battery life of these devices and expands the range of IoT applications. This research articles highlights the various communication infrastructure devices and modules frequently used in the telecom industry.
