Bot-based process triggering is the practice of employing automated bots to launch particular processes in response to received e-mails and documents. Because botbased triggering only requires the incorporation of a bot into an organization's e-mail system or document management platform, it is a basic and uncomplicated process. Once integrated, the bot can be configured to search for specific words, phrases, or content in incoming e-mails and documents and launch particular actions in response. Automating tedious or time-consuming chores is one of the main advantages of bot-based process triggering. A bot may be built, for instance, to automatically classify and arrange incoming e-mails into particular categories based on their content. Employees who would otherwise have to complete this manually will now save time and effort. Organizations can also lower the chance of human error and increase the accuracy of their data by automating this procedure. Bot-based process triggering has yet another advantage: it can aid enterprises in streamlining their workflow procedures. For instance, a bot might be set up to automatically contact a customer by e-mail after a predetermined amount of time has passed since their initial request. The timely and reliable service that clients experience as a result can increase their satisfaction and loyalty. Finally, bot-based process triggering can enhance the confidentiality and privacy of confidential data in incoming e-mails and documents. Before incoming e-mails are placed in a document management system, for instance, a bot may be taught to automatically redact critical information from them. By doing this, it is possible to protect sensitive data from misuse and unwanted access. In conclusion, bot-based process triggering is a useful tool for businesses wishing to automate tedious chores, enhance efficiency, and safeguard sensitive data. Bots can help businesses save time, lower risk, and increase the accuracy and security of their data when they are incorporated into e-mail systems or document management platforms. This chapter emphasizes the diversity of bot-based process triggering by incoming e-mails and documents for process automation and technology of the next generation, as well as the current methods and those still being researched. It also identifies the hurdles or issues that still need to be resolved.
