This paper investigates the finite-time group consensus problem of multi-agent systems with leader-following control. Finite time group consensus means that all followers in each group can be tracked separately to their corresponding leaders for a finite time. A control scheme is designed to solve the problem of finite-time group consensus. It is found through rigorous proofs that the control scheme can address consensus problem for both linear and nonlinear multi-agent systems. Finally, simulation examples verify that the state trajectory of each group of agents can converge with its leader respectively in finite time.
