This paper investigates the role of cyber deception techniques in the early detection of threats and active defense. Game Theory has been widely applied to develop deception strategies for cybersecurity. Modern systems in-tegrate physical and cyber components in cyber-physical systems. We investigate the necessity for coordinated deception across both cyber and physical layers to enhance the overall believability and effectiveness of defensive strategies. Furthermore, this paper proposes novel deception games to model multi-domain defensive deception scenarios. We discuss the complexities of the proposed games and outline potential solutions. Finally, we study how the proposed game model can be used to model deception problem in modern warfare battlefield.
