Over the years, the utilization of Internet technology in education has witnessed a steady rise. Among the pivotal facets of online learning, the administration and submission of student exams stand out prominently. However, one of the most challenging aspects encountered in administering electronic exams revolves around verifying the identity and ensuring the authenticity of exam takers. Many educational institutions have adopted the conventional method of using a username and password for authentication in e- exams. However, this approach has shown limited efficacy in reducing the instances of impersonation and academic dishonesty. Furthermore, collaboration and external assistance pose significant challenges in the context of e-exams. This study aims to design a multimodal authentication method that will integrate face recognition and fingerprint recognition models in conjunction with traditional authentication schemes that use usernames and passcodes. Incorporating biometrics into the exam system will heighten security by accurately identifying and authenticating genuine students.
