Relationship analysis and price forecasting of supermarket vegetables based on ARIMA models

In fresh food supermarkets, the general shelf life of vegetable commodities is short, and supermarkets usually replenish each commodity on a daily basis based on its historical sales and demand. In this paper, we study and analyse the optimisation of pricing and replenishment decisions for supermarket vegetables. Firstly, we studied the distribution of commodity sales and the trend of sales over time, explored the relationship between different vegetable types using Pearson's coefficient, and then predicted future price trends using a basic autoregressive integral moving average model.
