Wireless systems play an important role in the automation process in the industrial scene. An authentication technique with minimal complexity, small weight, and excellent security is urgently needed for this kind of system. These needs are satisfied by the development of physical layer authentication. However, the security of these devices has become a major concern due to the proliferation of Wireless Communication Systems (WCSs) in the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. To address this issue, a Multi-Access Physical Layer (M-APL) can be used to secure IoT wireless communication systems. This approach involves using multiple access methods to improve the security of wireless communications. To improve the safety of the Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) technology, a newly developed IoT framework, we provide an M-APL approach authentication mechanism in this work. The proposed M-APL authentication methods are validated using datasets from two representative real-world industrial environments. When compared to the approaches currently used in global industrial settings, the proposed method had a higher authentication rate.
