Criminalistic Characteristics of Frauds Committed Using Information and Telecommunication Technologies

Introduction. The article is devoted to the consideration of individual elements of the criminalistic characteristics of frauds committed using information and telecommunication technologies. Purpose. The main purpose of the article is to identify typical features characterizing the personality of the victim, the perpetrator and the ways of committing fraud. Methodology. The research is based on comparative legal, formal legal, systemic structural and specific sociological methods. Result. The study revealed the personality traits of the victims of fraudsters, the features of the methods of committing fraud in this category, and the characteristics of typical behavior of fraudsters. Conclusion. The results obtained during the study can be used by the investigator when putting forward forensic versions, planning and conducting initial investigative actions.
