With the explosive expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, network assaults are becoming more frequent and more intense. According to recent reports, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) assault is the most common type of attack on IoT networks. Because of the fast growth of IoT devices, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is now acknowledged as a critical security threat. Since most of them filter the regular network and attack traffic based on static predefined rules, standard security measures like firewalls, network blocks, prevention, etc., are unable to identify complicated DDoS attacks. However, when combined with 5G Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) technology, these systems can become trustworthy and efficient. The analysis of several DDoS assault pathways and methodology against IoT devices over the last few years has revealed the expanding range of tactics attackers are employing to compromise and control IoT. By increasing the Energy Efficiency of the network, the prospect for this Intrusion Detection Systems with 5G models may be exploited to effectively identify the complicated DDoS. As a result, we suggested a methodology for pattern detection and real-time network monitoring in this work. The proposed methodology had an accuracy of 89% for detecting DDoS during preventative maintenance. Additionally, the proposed methodology for statistically analyzing DDoS attack patterns achieved 74% average precision, which is 15% higher than the current state of the art, and 5G systems can improve their security posture and offer users a safer and more dependable communication infrastructure. The report also assesses current security measures and mitigation strategies designed to thwart IoT-based DDoS assaults and boost energy efficiency.
