Every day there are more and more highly loaded applications in the world. Sometimes the response speed of these applications causes inconvenience to users and requires improvement. In this regard, in this paper, we compared two popular repositories designed to speed up the application by reducing the load on the database or file system. As a result of experimental studies, differences in the functionality of data storage operations, such as the speed of creating, reading, changing and deleting records, were presented. A comparison of the execution of CRUD operations using the presented repositories was displayed in the form of graphs and tables. As a result of the experiments conducted, data was obtained showing that the two repositories have similar functionality, but Redis should be used in the case of more complex tasks that require a more sophisticated approach. In turn, Memcached allows you to distribute data across multiple running application servers, as well as easily add new nodes.
