Fuzzy logic framework for ontology alignment
Marcin Pietranik · 2024
Chapter 3 has shed light on the topic of ontology alignment, which continues to receive significant attention despite being somewhat overshadowed by other knowledge-processing approaches in recent years. The chapter explores various techniques proposed to address the challenge of aligning ontologies, often involving the evaluation of similarities between elements within the ontologies, such as concepts or relations. These similarities can be determined in multiple ways, e.g., based on the concepts&s; names, hierarchical relationships, instances, and attributes.
