AI Integrated Model Design for Education System for Analytical Computation (Mathematics)

Inderjeet Inderjeet, Rashmi Bhardwaj · 2024

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has digitized almost everything, and so is the case with mathematics education. The paper discusses the potential of AI technologies in changing experiences and outcomes for learners in mathematics. This study, in the form of investigation, attempts to look into multifaceted roles: how AI can be leveraged for developing personalized learning pathways, for the facilitating mechanisms of adaptive assessments, and for providing immersive, interactive learning environments to students of varied proficiency levels. One example of the introduction of AI in math education would be paradigmatic of viewing it as a shift from traditional approaches to those that are far more student-tailored. The artificial intelligence system, through machine learning algorithms and data analytics, can diagnose the learning requirements and preferences of an individual student and can bring about customization in the learning module accordingly. This will give room for flexibility in dealing with different learning paces, inclusive of allowing the students to better understand the concepts that they consider to be hard. The paper goes ahead to articulate that AI-fueled tools can be used effectively to improve the learners’ engagement and motivation. Students will grasp complex mathematical theories, problems, or practice in a naturally interactive, fun way through gamified learning experiences and interactive simulations. These immersive technologies are conducive not only for the learning process to be made enjoyable but for recording better knowledge and developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. In addition, it describes the way AI enables formative as well as summative assessment in the educational context.
