The modern banking landscape is subject to change, and in this backdrop, customer-centricity has emerged as the most supreme goal for any financial institution looking for upliftment in user experience, encouraging loyalty, and attaining sustainable growth. The paper delves at a junction of two technologies: biometric identification and artificial intelligence (AI)—as potential key drivers towards the enhancement of customer-centricity in bank operations. Against this background discussion, and through an in-depth analysis of current trends, challenges, and opportunities, this study will therefore provide clear and explicit implications for integrating biometric authentication and AI-enabled personalization into banking services. Biometric identification is the use of individual physiological or behavioral characteristics that validate identity, providing unrivaled security and ease in financial transactions. With the integration of biometric sensors in smartphones and other digital gizmos, customers enjoy uninterrupted access to their accounts either by fingerprint, face, or iris recognition-no passwords or PINs that sometimes can be a real bother. This paper undertakes a study on the efficacy of using biometric authentication for fraud risks, the benefits of streamlining the authentication process, and how all this can, therefore, result in trusting and satisfied customers. Biometrics combined with AI-driven personalization algorithms signal a change in the paradigm of banking customer experiences.
