Coherent Transceiver Architecture Enabling Data Transmission and Optical Identification

We propose a coherent transceiver architecture able to transmit information and enhance the security of the optical network by identifying other optical systems and sub-systems. Simulations show that identification is obtained with sufficient reliability-probability of false positive and negative below 10-10-in standard operating conditions
