The introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the rise of linked gadgets have completely changed how we use technology in our daily lives. The huge network of interconnected devices is the subject of this research paper’s investigation of specific vulnerabilities and dangers. There is a significant risk due to the expanded attack surface brought on by the exponential proliferation of IoT devices. These devices are vulnerable to unauthorized access and exploitation by hostile actors due to insufficient security safeguards, such as lax authentication procedures, bad encryption techniques, and insecure default configurations. To secure the trust, privacy, and security of IoT systems, it is crucial to comprehend and handle these issues. Every device that is linked becomes a potential target, and the compromising of even one device can have a ripple effect throughout the whole network.
