Today, humanity is paying more attention to the use of renewable energy sources. There are many reasons for this: It is more environmentally friendly. In other words, renewable energy is a better choice than other types of energy to prevent pollution, the greenhouse effect, and to leave a healthier nature (Earth) for the next generation; it is inexhaustible. Unlike other types of energy, renewable energy cycles endlessly. We, the generation(s) after us will be able to benefit (use) this energy; and finally, “green energy for green technology.” On the other hand, today still from other types of energy, the use of nonrenewable energies continues. One of the main reasons for this is the relatively slow progress of the transition to an entirely renewable energy era. This is related to the development of technology. In addition, people still need nonrenewable forms of energy. Because these types of energy, which are relatively cheaper, have been used by people for a long time. At the same time, this type of energy is considered more reliable. But looking at the recent past, it seems that there is a big problem here. Because long-term studies predict that the world’s nonrenewable energy will run out in the next ten years. This is a key indicator that people will need more renewable energy in the future. Yet in the world we live in and in our present time, we still use and benefit from this energy. In this section, we will look at the types of fossil fuels, oil and gas, which are nonrenewable energy. We will discuss the application of technology in their exploration, as well as the possibilities of quantum computing in oil and gas exploration, which continues to be developed as a next-generation area.
