State-of-the-Art Techniques in Enhancing Virtual Assistant Security: A Systematic Review

Virtual assistants (VAs) are becoming increasingly integral to our daily lives, assisting in tasks ranging from managing schedules to controlling smart home devices. However, the rise in their use also brings significant security concerns, such as unauthorized access and data breaches. This paper provides a systematic review of state-of-the-art techniques in enhancing the security of virtual assistants. By examining recent advancements, we identify and analyze various methodologies, tools, and strategies aimed at mitigating security risks. The review highlights key challenges and proposes a roadmap for future research in the field.As VAs continue to evolve and integrate deeper into various aspects of personal and professional life, ensuring robust security measures is paramount. This review synthesizes current research, providing a clear understanding of the advancements and their practical applications. Furthermore, it identifies gaps in existing technologies and suggests areas for future investigation to build more resilient security frameworks.This paper's findings are intended to guide developers, researchers, and policymakers in enhancing VA security. By presenting a comprehensive overview of current techniques and identifying future directions, this review aims to contribute to the ongoing efforts to safeguard user privacy and data integrity in the era of intelligent virtual assistants.
