A Fuzzy Logic-Based Unequal Clustering Data Collection Protocol for Unreliable Sensor Network

Aiming at the impact of unreliable links on data collection performance in wireless sensor network, an unequal clustering data collection protocol based on fuzzy logic is proposed, which defines the neighbor performance index combining the number of neighbors and link quality. On this basis, fuzzy logic system is used to determine the size of clustering. The forwarding nodes for routing between clusters are determined based on the path cost function. The simulation results show that the data collection protocol can effectively balance the energy consumption of nodes, improve the network lifetime, and increase the data collection rate in wireless sensor network.
