With an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape, understanding and utilising human factors are critical in managing true cybersecurity. Human factors are pivotal in understanding the cybersecurity landscape, and human cognitive abilities play a pertinent role in truly managing cybersecurity governance. Humans must be aware of the cybersecurity environment in which they apply critical thinking and cognitive understanding. This will enable them to decide how best to protect themselves and their assets against perceived cyber harm. The psychology of cyber aspects plays a significant role in understanding human behaviour in cyberspace to enable users to protect the integrity of digital systems and data. This includes how human vulnerabilities are exploited, trust dynamics, and cognitive biases.
