Pavel Viktorovich Saraev · 2024
Large language models as part of artificial intelligence technologies have been rapidly developed in recent years. It become possible thanks to models based on neural networks and generative learning methods. GPT-based systems have become an integral part of many social and economic sectors. Education, including higher education, has also not been left out of the world of large language models. These models provide not only new opportunities, but also risks for the education system. This paper examines various aspects of the application of large language models for higher education. The results of a survey of learners and teachers on how they apply these new technologies in their activities are presented. One of the main problem of large language models usage is the high level of learners' usage of them and low level of teachers' usage of the technique. Another problem is irresponsible usage of artificial intelligence methods by students.
