NLDesign: A UI Design Tool for Natural Language Interfaces

Customizing software interfaces often requires designers to possess programming and development skills, resulting in a high technical barrier. We propose a method for UI design based on multi-turn natural language dialogue using generative AI technology. We develop a UI design tool that supports natural language, allowing users to control the layout and properties of UI elements through natural language commands. Users can also define the interaction logic of UI components, enabling personalized customization of software interfaces through natural language descriptions. Experiments demonstrate that this tool enables rapid UI construction using natural language, significantly reducing the user threshold for UI customization and enhancing software adaptability and user experience.
