Artificial Intelligence has the capability to impersonate human intelligence through logic bound to rules. Computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition, and robotics are among the fundamental AI technologies. AI has a wide range of applications like life sciences, health care, marketing, national security, product design, and banking. Social networking is the most popular application of AI. The implementation of AI in social media has already been used by individuals for ages. Digital marketers use AI to provide content that appeals to the requirements and interests of a large audience. Based on the user’s search history, an AI algorithm is incorporated into social media applications, including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, etc. AI is put into practice in photoshops, videography, and popular applications such as Canva, Remini, etc. Multi-national companies (MNCs) such as Amazon and Flipkart have their own chatbot as their customer support mechanism that assists with expeditious feedback and solutions. AI-powered assistants like Bixby, Siri, Cortana, Google Assistant, and Alexa ease surfing through social media. The other aspects of AI in social media are language censoring in public chats, optimization of the content concerning editorials, and enhancing the overall user experience. This chapter highlights the future of AI in social networking aspects. The effect of social media is very complex and varies from person to person, therefore AI must be used in an ethical manner so as to not intervene in any restricted privacy of an individual. The efficient use of AI leads to satisfying productivity.
