ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN IN DIGITAL ABYSS

Abstract:The digital environment is complex and subject to rapid evolution. It is reshaping children’s lives in many ways.Artificial intelligence is an important tool in children’s lives for education, socialisation, expression, and inclusion. At the same time its use can generate risks, including violence, exploitation, and abuse. The digital world must be safe, secure, open, and enabling environment for everyonewithout discrimination. This digital Abyss has added risks to the well-being and enjoyment of human rightsof the child. States must make every to reconcile the child’s right to protection with other rights, in particular the right to freedom of expression and information as well as participation rights.This Article discusses the challenges and threats children face due to the dawn of Artificial Intelligence. The article provides possible solutions at the legal and technological level to face the existing problem. This article is a comparison of the current legal regulations of selected countries and the means of legal protection used by the victims.
