Multi-Service Quality of Service Assurance Strategy in Data Centers Utilizing SRv6-TE
Jun Wang · 2024
This study focuses on the escalating requirements for multi-service QoS assurances within data center networks and introduces a multi-service QoS routing optimization algorithm, MC-QRA, leveraging SRv6- TE technology. The algorithm deftly exploits the programmable capabilities of SRv6 to model service-specific QoS requirements and establishes a hierarchical utility evaluation framework. By seamlessly integrating local search strategies with global coordination mechanisms, the algorithm not only guarantees the QoS of mission-critical services but also maximizes the efficiency of network resource allocation. Simulation results demonstrate that MC-QRA significantly outperforms conventional methods in essential QoS metrics. Relative to these methods, MC-QRA achieves a reduction in end-to-end latency of 38.6%, a decrease in jitter of 34.4%, and a lower packet loss rate of 67.8%, culminating in a 14.8% enhancement in overall service utility. Moreover, MC-QRA displays remarkable load balancing and dynamic adaptability, providing a robust foundation for delivering high-quality, efficient network services in data centers.
