The Internet of Things is a technology that connects devices and sensors to exchange data and automate tasks across various domains. It combines centric detector networks (ICSN) and Wireless Sensor and Actuator Network (WSAN). Now a days this IoT has become even smarter when smart sensors are being used. An integral part of IoT technology are sensors. IoT enables communication between people and machines using any path in the network, providing numerous applications. Sensors play a crucial role in IoT systems as they are the primary data acquisition units. They are used in various applications such Wireless and single-sensor networks provide structural health, traffic management, smart parking, lighting, smart water and agriculture, military, and smart buildings. The article provides a full analysis of sensors, their types and significance in IoT, and how they detect and retrieve data from anywhere at any time.
