Introduction to Human Factors in Performing Arts and the Dimensional Aspects

This chapter introduces the readers to the application of human factors in different types of performing arts. It explains the bigger picture of performing arts and where the subject human factors could be used to augment it. The readers are introduced to the systems concept and its application in performing arts. The chapter also introduces the importance of human body dimensions and how based on that the venue of the performance could be designed applying the human factors principles so as to ensure maximum success of the performance.
