Green Blockchain technology for Organization Performance without Risky Activities: Natural-Resource-Based View

Implementing the idea based on natural resources-based view theory, the research looks at the influence of pollution prevention strategies, green blockchain technology, and energy saving on an organization’s environmental orientation. Further, the association between the organization’s environmental exposure and the organization performance is verified. In addition, it explores moderating effect of firm’s risk-taking on the association between ecological orientation and firm performance. Hypotheses are tested using structural equation modeling and moderation analysis on the primary data collected from 231 employees working in different industries. The findings highlight that the capabilities of pollution prevention and green blockchain technology are prerequisites to formulating environmental orientation. The results confirm that the organization’s environmental orientation impacts performance outcomes. The results of the moderation process show that the association between environmental orientation and company performance is moderated by risk-taking. The study advances knowledge of pollution prevention, green blockchain technologies, and energy-saving perspectives based on natural resources that shape the environmental orientation of businesses. These results offer significant management implications for the utilization of environmental resources to achieve business performance goals.
