In the current era, security is a substantial aspect in nearly all types of applications due to the growing occurrences of cyber attacks. While biometric authentication is considered one of the safest and most advanced authentication methods, traditional centralized systems still have security flaws that need to be addressed. However, the use of blockchain technology has shown the potential for improving security and reducing vulnerabilities, thereby minimizing the risk of data breaches. This work proposes a decentralized biometric authentication method that uses blockchain technology to address security concerns. The system authenticates users using their biometric data, and this data is stored on a decentralized blockchain, which enhances security by preventing unauthorized access. Additionally, the system utilizes vulnerability analysis capabilities to detect and prevent attacks. By leveraging the power of blockchain technology, the proposed system ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and authentication (CIA Triad) of biometric data while offering improved security, privacy, and attack resistance. Overall, this approach enhances the security of biometric authentication, reduces the likelihood of data breaches, and provides a more robust solution for applications that require high-level security.
