Radiometry, like all science, is loaded with symbols. Some of us even talk and think symbolically. Many English symbols in both upper and lower case and many more Greek ones are used in science and in this text. Fortunately, there has been no urge to also use Cyrillic and Sanskrit figures—or even Katakana. The most common units are included where applicable. Several terms used in Mathcad and Excel are included at the end.
