Revisiting CSIE in L2: Condition Numbers and Inverse Theorems

The projection methods for the Cauchy singular integral equations with constant coefficients are revisited. Sharp estimates for the error are given. Moreover inverse theorems are stated. Finally it is proved that the system which has to be solved to obtain the coefficients of the approximating polynomial is well conditioned.
