Nowadays, biometric systems have become increasingly powerful for authentication tasks, offering high performance and effectiveness. However, their extensive use has raised significant concerns about the security and privacy of biometric data. This paper presents a new method to overcome these issues by using visual cryptography skills. Our approach combines visual cryptography with chaotic maps and steganography techniques to enhance the security of stored biometric templates. PloyU palm print database was used to evaluate the performance of proposed method under various potential attack scenarios. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in protecting biometric data and addressing security and privacy concerns.
