Optimizing WeBarangay: A Comprehensive Performance and Security Audit

In the ever-evolving landscape of modern governance, the WeBarangay system has emerged as a pivotal localized e-government web application designed to cater to the unique needs of Barangay N.S. Amoranto in La Loma, Quezon City, Philippines. This study aims to optimize the WeBarangay web application through a comprehensive strategy encompassing performance and security assessments. The first objective involves a rigorous performance audit utilizing benchmarking tools and methodologies, revealing that WeBarangay consistently exceeds recommended values in speed, interaction, and visual stability across all modules. The second objective, a thorough security audit, showcases WeBarangay's resilience, as it surpasses website vulnerability testing and attains an "A+" rating from multiple industry-standard tools, including the HTTP and TLS Observatory, Qualys SSL Server test, Cryptcheck, Probely's security testing, and ImmuniWeb's Security test. The results affirm WeBarangay's robustness and reliability, demonstrating performance, security, and compliance excellence. This optimized e-government platform stands as a testament to the proactive approach of Barangay NS Amoranto in embracing technology to meet the evolving expectations of its residents and navigate the complexities of modern governance.
