In the hematology examination, anticoagulant is required to be given to the blood sample and homogenization is needed so that the blood and anticoagulant are mixed perfectly. The aim of this study was to determine the differences between variations in homogenization techniques for blood samples with EDTA vacutainer and conventional anticoagulants on the number of leukocytes and platelets. The research type is laboratory experimental research. The research data were analyzed using the dependent t test for examining the number of leukocytes and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank for examining the number of platelets, so that the results obtained were that there was no difference in the results of the examination of the number of leukocytes and platelets which was carried out with secondary inversion homogenization 4 times and 8 times on the EDTA vacutainer anticoagulant. and conventional.
