Research on Innovative Applications and Impacts of Using Generative AI for User Interface Design in Programming Courses

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) has become a hot topic nowadays, as its powerful content generation models enable users to instantly create everything from digital media products to coding examples through simple text queries, providing more possibilities in the field of education. This study aims to investigate the impact of Generative AI intervention in teaching App Inventor programming courses, analyzing the differences between UI materials designed by traditional teachers based on their professional knowledge and experience, and UI materials created by Generative AI in classroom teaching. The study also evaluates the impact of Generative AI on students' learning outcomes and motivation through satisfaction and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) questionnaires. The results indicate that UI materials produced through Generative AI effectively enhance students' satisfaction with the course and their acceptance of new technologies. Compared to traditional teaching methods, Generative AI significantly saves teachers' time and effort in designing materials while simultaneously improving teaching efficiency and quality.
