As Artificial Intelligence (AI) advances and becomes more commonplace, the scope and depth of its impact on individuals and societies is expanding.Just as technological advancements have produced both beneficial and adverse effects throughout human history, AI also produces positive and negative impacts. This study aims to explore the gendered microaggression associated with AI, focussing on the impact on women.Microaggression refers to discrimination, insults, and disrespect that are routinely directed at minorities and are likely to go unnoticed because they are often subtle and unintentional; gender microaggression refers to when the target is a woman. While a body of research addresses the negative impact of AI on women, employing the concept of gender microaggression helps to reveal and analyze more comprehensive phenomena. Thus, 11 domestic studies published by 2023 were selected and analyzed. We found three themes: reinforcement of gender stereotypes, exclusion of women, and abuse and exploitation of women, and found that gender-based microaggression is occurring in a wide range of areas, including the design and use of artificial intelligence technologies and services and workforce management in related businesses. The significance of this study is that it has drawn attention to the possible negative impacts of this rapidly advancing technology on women and has spurred the exploration of appropriate interventions and prevention.
