Automated Employee Attendance Monitoring aims to automate the process of keeping track of employee attendance and absences, eliminating the need for manual input and record-keeping. Facial Recognition Attendance System is a biometric technology that records and tracks employee attendance by using facial recognition. In this paper, we have implemented an automated employee attendance system by combining liveness face recognition and geofencing technology. Marking fake attendance is a common problem in traditional attendance tracking systems, especially in large organizations where it is difficult to manually monitor each employee. To overcome this problem of spoofing or impersonating a person using a photo or video to mark fake attendance we have come up with a system that requires employees to be physically present within a designated geographical location before they can use the facial recognition feature to mark their attendance. We have developed a custom dataset for training our anti-spoofing model. The MobileNetV2 architecture is utilized to train the model and decrease the amount of parameters and computations necessary, all while preserving high accuracy. The liveness detection model ensures that only real faces are recognized, preventing spoofing attempts. By combining liveness facial recognition with geofencing, organizations can ensure that only authorized individuals can access a specific area, and that they are physically present.
